Mission Statement

“I want to help you achieve a balanced life.  I think you should get your heart rate up daily and challenge your body to grow and change.  However, if you eat in a health promoting way, you should not have to spend two hours a day at the gym or kill yourself EVERY time you workout.

I want to help you achieve wellness, so I want you to be able to workout briefly and then have more time to spend with your loved ones and enjoy all that life has to offer.  I also believe a balanced body is a happy body.  I feel like it is equally important to work on muscle strength, cardiovascular strength, stretching and balance. This can range from stagnant stretching to a more fluid stretch like you might find in dance or yoga.  Bottom line, if you keep the body fluid and constantly moving in many, different ways it stays supple and moves with more ease for a lifetime.

I also feel that if the body is nourished properly it performs better and you can become more in tune with when you need a long run versus just a simple yoga stretch, or meditation. This comes from a proper diet and enough rest.  I want to share with you a quote that really resonated with me and sums up how I feel:

Cellular nutrition is everything.  It is the very basis of health.  It all comes down to the cell, because when cells malfunction, eventually organs malfunction.  When organs malfunction, eventually you malfunction. -Excerpt from The Wahl’s Protocol: How I Beat Progressive M.S. Using Paleo Principles and Functional Medicine by Terry Wahls, M.D.

All the exercise in the world cannot negate what a poor diet is doing to your cells.

With that said, please know that I am NOT a Nutritionist, but I’d love to help you find your way to wellness and please know that it’s a journey that I’m taking myself.  Hop aboard this journey with me and let’s be well together!”
