Baked Sweet Potato Fries
Serves 4
(Whole 30 Compliant)
This is a go to recipe for my family. We probably eat these with dinner or as a snack at least twice a week. I used to peel them, but now I find I really love them with the skin on, plus there is so much fiber and nutrition in the skin that we lose out on when we don’t eat it. I encourage you to try it with the skin and see what you think.
Ingredients:
4 sweet potatoes (yams or white sweet potatoes will work too), cut into 1/4 inch thick and 2 inch long fries
Avocado oil
Salt
*garlic powder (optional)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400*F.
Toss the sweet potatoes in the oil to coat lightly. Place in an even layer on a baking sheet with space between each strip. Sprinkle with a generous layer of salt.
Bake for 15 minutes. Flip each fry (this is where I add the garlic powder when I use it. I just sprinkle it over the top of the fries) and bake for another 10 minutes.
Eat warm!
