Apple Cider Oatmeal
This oatmeal comes together just as quickly as using the instant in the microwave, but is so much more nourishing and satiating. Not only that, but it’s just 3 ingredients (salt doesn’t count). Throw this one together any day of the week for breakfast in a jiff, or even a whole grain dessert.
Ingredients:
31/2 cups apple cider
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
Bring the cider and salt to boil.
Lower the heat to medium and stir in the oats.
Continue to stir until the oatmeal thickens and reaches your desired consistency (for me it’s usually 6 minutes).
When the oatmeal texture is to your liking, stir in the cinnamon.
Feel free to add other flavors to this after it’s cooked. For example, raisins, or walnuts. Make it your own!
