“Cranberry Sauce”
When Thanksgiving rolls around, I can’t wait to start recipe testing. I LOVE all the flavors of this meal. However, as we all know, Thanksgiving tends to kickstart the season of eating. In an effort to keep the sugar down, I came up with this recipe. The cinnmaon helps to make it taste sweet without the addition of the powdery white stuff. Let me know what you think.
Ingredients:
8oz package of fresh organic cranberries
1/2 cup fresh squeezed organic orange juice (about 2 oranges)
1/2 cup raisins
1 teaspoon honey
Dash of cinnamon
Directions:
Soak the raisins in the O.J. for 10 minutes
Pour raisin mixture into a pot with cranberries, honey and cinnamon.
Bring to a boil and let cook for about 10 minutes until all berries have popped and it starts to congeal.
Pour into a glass bowl to cool. Enjoy!
