“Salty Snack Fix”


I don’t know about you, but once a month, like clockwork, I get an insatiable craving for SALTY, SALTY, and more SALTY foods.  Ladies, you might know what I’m talking about 😉

And with this, comes an unstoppable hankering for EVERYTHING BAGELS!  I live in NYC, so I know where to get good ones.  I even know where to get good gluten free, soy free ones.  This is soooooo dangerous.

With all of these readily available options at my fingertips, I have to stay focused to not divert from the course.

Here’s one of my “STAY OUT OF THE BAGEL STORE NORIGE” tricks:

I have a bottle of everything bagel seasoning in my pantry with my spices.  It includes kosher salt, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, garlic flakes, and onion flakes.  Mmmmm. The essentials!

Let’s face it, this is really what I want, all that yummy seasoning.

As for the carb fix, here’s what I typically do.

You might already know that I usually have pre-cooked sweet potatoes in my fridge during the week for snack attacks just like this.

That makes this choice quick and easy.

Directions: I just take one of my aforementioned sweet potatoes out of the fridge.  Unwrap the foil.

Cut a line down the center of the potato and open it up. Then, I simply pour as much everything bagel seasoning as desired on top of the potato and mash it in.

Get a fork and dig in to the starchy, salty goodness!  I promise, after I eat this, I no longer want the bagel and I don’t feel like I ruined my whole day with one bad choice.
